China National Building Material Group and Haier Group Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On March 24th, China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) and Haier Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Qingdao. Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of CNBM, and Zhou Yunjie, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Haier Group, along with Liang Haishan, Vice Chairman of the Board and President of Haier Group, attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing. Wang Yumeng, Vice President of CNBM, and Zhao Yifeng, Vice President of Haier Group, General Manager of Government and Corporate Affairs, and General Manager of Haier Smart Home China Region, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.


Zhou Yuxian expressed sincere gratitude to Haier Group for its long-standing support. He noted that CNBM, as a technology-driven enterprise, possesses strong research and development capabilities in areas such as fibers and composites, new glass materials, and advanced ceramics. The related materials offer outstanding properties including lightweight strength, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, and hold broad application potential in sectors such as smart appliances, new energy, and robotics. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the two sides would jointly pursue the directions of high-end, intelligent, green, and international development, work together to promote the deep integration of new materials with end-use scenarios, empower industrial upgrading through technological innovation, and jointly fulfill the mission and vision of "materials create a better world, intelligence creates a better life," contributing greater strength to the high-quality development of Chinese manufacturing.



Zhou Yunjie extended a warm welcome to Zhou Yuxian and his delegation. He noted that Haier Group and CNBM share aligned philosophies and values, laying a solid foundation for cooperation. In the future, he expressed anticipation for the two sides to build an even closer strategic partnership, driving and empowering each other through collaborative technological breakthroughs and product development, deepening mutual learning in management practices, and jointly creating a new cross-sector industrial ecosystem. Moving forward, the two sides will translate cooperation into concrete projects and actionable plans, pragmatically advancing collaboration across various fields and accelerating efforts to make greater contributions to the development of a modern industrial system.



Through this agreement, the two sides will jointly focus on strengthening the nation through science and technology and industrial upgrading, engaging in in-depth collaboration across ten areas, including joint research and development and the commercialization of R&D achievements, green building materials and smart homes, intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation. The partnership aims to set a new benchmark for coordinated development between a central state-owned enterprise and a leading private enterprise.
