On September 24, the Maamba 100 MW photovoltaic power station in Zambia, contracted by Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd., successfully completed grid-connection commissioning and was put into commercial power generation. The successful operation of the project effectively makes up for the shortage of local clean energy supply and injects new impetus into pragmatic energy cooperation between China and Zambia.

This marks Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd.’s second clean energy project implemented in Zambia. Following the CNBM Zambia Zero Purchased Electricity Industrial Park Green Energy Project, it represents another breakthrough in the Company’s continuous exploration of Africa’s new energy market. As an important initiative for the Company to advance the green development of the Belt and Road Initiative and implement the internationalization strategy of China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., the successful grid-connected power generation further consolidates the brand strengths of the Company’s overseas green energy engineering business.

During project construction, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. upheld the philosophy of refined construction and quality performance, and deployed full-process standardized management and control. Faced with typical pain points of overseas projects including disrupted cross-border logistics, complex geological conditions and challenges in multi-party coordination, the project team carried out scientific planning and targeted problem-solving, achieving grid-connected power generation as scheduled. This fully demonstrates the Company’s solid engineering expertise and overseas project delivery capability.

After commissioning, the power station will continuously supply clean electricity, optimize Zambia’s single energy mix and effectively alleviate local power shortages. Meanwhile, the project will substantially reduce carbon emissions and deliver multiple economic, social and ecological benefits. The smooth grid connection and commissioning fully validates Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd.’s comprehensive strength in overseas engineering construction, technical services and project management, laying a solid foundation for the long-term safe and stable operation of the power station.

Going forward, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. will continue to provide operation and maintenance support and performance optimization for the power station to ensure long-term, stable and efficient power generation. Taking this project as an overseas benchmark, the Company will further expand the global new energy market. Leveraging its strengths in technology, management and resources, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd. will deliver more high-quality premium overseas projects and contribute to the global green and low-carbon energy transition.
