Wang Yumeng, Vice President of CNBM, Visits New Material Nigeria Company Ltd for inspection and guidance

Recently, Wang Yumeng, Vice President of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), conducted an on-site inspection of safety production and security measures at New Material Nigeria Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited. Accompanying him were Li Ning, General Manager of CNBM’s Safety & Environmental Protection Department; Zhang Jinshu, Deputy General Manager of the Strategy Development (International Cooperation) Department; Liu Xin, President of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited; and Liu Renyue, Executive Vice President of Sinoma International Engineering Co., Ltd.

Wang Yumeng and his team conducted a comprehensive, meticulous, and rigorous safety production inspection of key areas at New Material Nigeria Company Ltd, including the production workshop, finished product warehouse, raw material storage yard, safe house, and dormitory building. During the inspection, Wang Yumeng examined various aspects of the production workshop, assessed the operational status of production equipment, inquired in detail about the implementation of safety operating procedures, and focused on checking the availability and effectiveness of various safety protection facilities and firefighting equipment. Furthermore, he engaged in in-depth discussions with on-site management personnel and frontline operators to gain a thorough understanding of the implementation of daily safety management measures, the effectiveness of employee safety training, and their familiarity with emergency response plans.
During the symposium, Wang Yumeng listened to work reports from New Material Nigeria Company Ltd on overall operations, security system development, and safety production management. He acknowledged the phased achievements made by New Material Nigeria Company Ltd in safety management and, considering the characteristics of overseas projects, put forward the following three requirements for the company's subsequent safety work: First, dynamically improve and revise various safety management systems in accordance with local Nigerian laws, regulations, and cultural practices to ensure their relevance and timeliness. Second, strengthen the awareness of safety red lines, consolidate the full-chain safety responsibilities from management to frontline positions, deeply integrate safety performance with assessment mechanisms, and maintain a high level of vigilance regarding safety production at all times. Third, proactively elevate safety management standards and establish a layered and categorized safety education and training system covering both Chinese and local employees to ensure the comprehensiveness, timeliness, and penetration of safety knowledge dissemination.
