From September 22nd to 23rd, Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, led a delegation to Zambia. The visit included attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the MAAMBA 100MWac PV Solar Power Project, inspecting the company's projects in Zambia, visiting localized enterprises of China National Building Material Group, and conducting community surveys to further deepen the company's green development layout in Zambia and promote the in-depth expansion of its African business.
September 22nd: Attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the MAAMBA 100MWac PV Solar Power Project
On September 22nd, the groundbreaking ceremony for the MAAMBA PV Solar Power Project, undertaken by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, was grandly held in Maamba, a mining town in the Sinazongwe District of Southern Province, Zambia. Mr. Makozo Chikote, Minister of Energy of Zambia, delivered a speech. Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, and Mr. Ashwin Devineni, CEO of Nava Limited, attended the ceremony.

Mr. Makozo Chikote personally participated in the groundbreaking ceremony, wishing for the project's early completion and power generation.
Mr. Makozo Chikote congratulated the commencement of the project. He stated that the MAAMBA PV Solar Project is a significant milestone in Zambia's strategy for developing clean energy. It will play a crucial role in transforming Zambia's power energy mix, alleviating local electricity shortages, and reducing the country's reliance on hydropower. He expressed his hope that Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited would fully leverage its leading technological advantages in the clean energy sector to make positive contributions to power infrastructure, industrial and economic development, and the improvement of living conditions for people in Zambia and the broader Southern African region, thereby enhancing local sustainable development capabilities.
The successful groundbreaking ceremony for the MAAMBA PV Solar Project marks a new stage for Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's expansion in the new energy sector in Southern Africa. It is a vivid practice of the company's active participation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative and its commitment to fulfilling the strategic goal of "Overseas Decade Re-creation" set by China National Building Material Group.
Approximately 200 attendees, including senior Zambian government officials, investment institutions, community leaders, representatives from Maamba Energy Company, representatives from Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, and local residents, participated in the groundbreaking ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Meng Qinglin held a cordial meeting with Ashwin Devineni.

September 22nd: Inspecting the MAAMBA 100MWac PV Solar Power Project Site
After conducting a field inspection of the project's progress and listening to a detailed report from the project team, Meng Qinglin highly commended the team for the phased achievements made in efficiently advancing the preliminary work. Regarding the next phase of work, Meng Qinglin emphasized three key points: First, anchor on "efficient performance," meticulously managing project advancement and full-process control to ensure key milestones are achieved on schedule and to build a high-quality project. Second, strengthen the "safety production" defense line, prioritizing safety above all tasks, consolidating responsibilities, and eliminating potential hazards to ensure the project progresses smoothly and orderly. Third, deepen "client relationships," maintaining close communication with partners, actively responding to their needs, and building trust through excellent performance capabilities to lay a solid foundation for future market expansion.

September 23rd: Visiting China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park

Meng Qinglin and his delegation visited the China National Building Material Zambia Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the "CNBM Zambia Industrial Park"). They inspected the Zero External Power Purchase Green and Low-Carbon Project undertaken by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited within the park. Mr. Shao Mingzhu, Chairman and General Manager of the Zambia Industrial Park, extended a warm welcome to Meng Qinglin and his delegation.

Meng Qinglin expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by Shao Mingzhu and the strong support provided by the Zambia Industrial Park for Sinoma Energy Conservation's Green and Low-Carbon Project. He stated that this project is not only a significant achievement of deepened cooperation between the two parties but also a critical step in actively responding to the Group's "Overseas Re-creation" strategy, building "zero-carbon industrial parks," and accelerating the construction of "Six-Zero Factories." It plays an important exemplary and driving role in establishing a green and low-carbon international operation model. Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will work hand in hand with the Zambia Industrial Park to steadily advance project construction and operation management, making joint efforts to achieve the strategic goal of "Overseas Re-creation."
Shao Mingzhu provided a detailed introduction to the construction, development, and operation of the Zambia Industrial Park. He pointed out that the park has consistently adhered to localized operations, making it a prominent representative of the Group's basic building materials business segment in Africa. He stated that upon completion, the Green and Low-Carbon Project invested in and constructed by Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will become Africa's first "zero external power purchase" green factory, serving as an example for achieving the low-carbon goals of the Zambia Industrial Park's entire industry chain and promoting Africa's industrial green transition. The Zambia Industrial Park will further strengthen resource sharing and collaborative cooperation with Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited to facilitate the project's early commissioning and power generation.
Gaining Insights into Local Community Conditions in Zambia
During his visit to Zambia, Meng Qinglin visited the local community in Maamba, touring a primary school, a library, and a community hospital. He engaged with residents to understand local community conditions.

During the visit to Maamba Private Primary School, the school principal briefed Meng Qinglin on the school's construction, curriculum development, and other aspects. Meng Qinglin noted that China-Africa friendship has a long history, and Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited will consistently adhere to the "Three Principles" of win-win cooperation: contributing to the local economy, collaborating with local enterprises, and fostering friendly relations with local people. The company integrates its development deeply into Zambia's local economy and social development, demonstrating the responsibility of Chinese enterprises through concrete actions. He also expressed hope that students would gain a better understanding of China and Chinese culture through interactions with Chinese enterprises.
