Meng Qinglin Accompanies CNBM Chairman Zhou Yuxian on Visit to Thailand for International Exchange and Cooperation
From August 25th to 27th, Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, accompanied Mr. Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group, on a visit to Thailand. They successively held friendly meetings with senior leaders of the Siam Cement Group, the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), and the Secretariat of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and signed relevant cooperation agreements to deeply engage in international cooperation and exchange. During this period, Meng Qinglin and his delegation conducted in-depth exchanges with the Siam Cement Group, solidly advancing the comprehensive cooperation between both sides to a new stage.
Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
On August 25th, Mr. Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group, visited the Siam Cement Group (SCG Group), Thailand's oldest and most comprehensive enterprise group. He held talks with Mr. Thammasak Sethaudom, President and CEO of the SCG Group. Witnessed by leaders from both sides, four subsidiaries under the Group signed Memorandums of Understanding with the SCG Group. Mr. Meng Qinglin, Chairman of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited, and Mr. Chalermpong Punnamee, Director of Green Industrial Solutions at SCG Group's Eco Factory Services Company, signed an MoU on Green Energy Services. This marks the opening of a new chapter for both parties to further deepen cooperation in the Thai and ASEAN markets and promote high-quality green development.
Holding Exchange Discussions with SCG Group

During this period, Meng Qinglin held exchange discussions with Mr. Chalermpong Punnamee, Director of Green Industrial Solutions at SCG Group's Eco Factory Services Company. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the development of net-zero factories, green energy process innovation, deep technological research and development, and sustained cooperation deepening. Mr. Wang Yi, Assistant President of Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited and General Manager of Sinoma EC Engineering Branch, accompanied and participated in the meeting.
Previously, Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited and the SCG Group formally signed the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC) contract for the STS Biomass Power Generation Project, with Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited responsible for the full range of services including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. This not only represents a critical step in Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's expansion in the overseas biomass power generation sector but also marks another significant milestone in the cooperation history between the two parties.
Chalermpong Punnamee expressed gratitude for Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's long-term support and highly recognized the company's technical capabilities and project execution strength demonstrated in the fields of clean energy and energy conservation & environmental protection. He stated that Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited's approach to technological R&D and innovation in green energy solutions aligns well with the SCG Group's development philosophy. He expressed hope to take this opportunity to further deepen technical exchanges and resource synergy, upgrading the cooperation from "single-project collaboration" to "long-term strategic partnership." He looks forward to conducting in-depth exploration in more green energy fields in the future, jointly contributing to promoting the green and low-carbon development of the cement industry in Thailand and globally.
Both parties expressed that they would take the signing of the MoU as a new starting point. Through models such as technology sharing, complementary industrial chain resources, and joint investment in green energy projects, they aim to carry out broader cooperation in areas including the fourth-generation waste heat recovery power generation technology, photovoltaics, wind energy, energy storage, and geothermal energy. They will jointly advance international production capacity layout and clean energy market development, striving to achieve value co-creation and win-win cooperation.
